After working with many business owners on their Meta advertising, I see the same mistakes come up again and again. The good news? They are all fixable.
1. Targeting Too Broadly
Bigger audience does not mean better results. When you target everyone, your budget gets spread too thin. Start with a defined, specific audience and expand from there.
2. No Clear Objective
Every campaign needs one clear goal — clicks, calls, messages, or purchases. Trying to achieve everything at once achieves nothing.
3. Stopping Too Early
Meta ads need at least 7-14 days of data before you can judge performance accurately. Stopping after 2 days is one of the biggest budget killers.
4. Testing Only One Creative
Always test at least 2-3 different images or messages. Often the one you least expect performs best.
5. Ignoring the Numbers
What is your cost per lead? Your click-through rate? If you cannot answer these, you are flying blind. Tracking is not optional.
Let’s talk if any of these mistakes show up in your current campaigns.
